    Description

    1875-S Liberty Seated Quarter, Choice Very Fine.  Briggs 3-C, very late Reverse die state with heavy die cracking and significant loss of detail die to die wear & repolishing.  A bit underrated as a date; Briggs suggests that the reported Mintage may have been in error.  As PCGS CoinFacts reports an estimated survival of 700 coins out of a reported mintage of 680,000, this there is some supporting evidence for this assumption.
