    Description

    1920's "Darling" Mannequin Head/Bust Store Hat Display. The plaster mannequin head / bust has lovely finger wave hair.  The base has a silver label, "Darling Displays, L. A. Darling Co., Broason, Mich."  The wool or felt hat is decorated with brown feathers, stick pin and a decorative beaded pin -- the shape is very stylish.  It is labeled, "Sophie's Studio Custom Made" with a stamped blue mark.
    SIZE:  The mannequin is 14 inches high x 9 inches wide. The hat is 8 1/4 inches x 8 inches.
    CONDITION:  Consistent with age and use, the mannequin has a few tiny dings -- one seen on her face.  She is in very good condition.  The hat has some pin marks and a light gray mark on the top. The hat is in nice condition. I did not try to clean the pieces.
