Very attractive version of the badge showing 16 republics in the Soviet state emblem (the USSR State emblem was changed in 1955 to 15 republics but the old version was still used on the M 56  Police hat badge until 1958).
Aluminum, paint. 41 mm tall

34 mm wide. Features slightly heavier construction and darker center than the later versions of the badge. Excellent condition.
