This is a 1937 Majestic radio model 2D60. The radio was designed by one of the foremost art deco designers Norman Bel Geddes. This model was called " the 3 fins ". It was brown & broken when I purchased it with no knobs and a not perfect dial. Removed all of the non working parts & cleaned the case. There were several cracks that required epoxy to seal and I used car bondo on the bakelite to cover the scars. Sanded, primed and painted the body a cool lite green deco color. Now it is looking better. Really like the contrast of the gold & green. Found 3 matching bakelite knobs painted them gold to go with the dial and the new period correct gold speaker cloth. On the inside, I installed a new Bluetooth digital stereo hi-fi audio amplifier with 50 watts in addition to a big 4" multi range speaker. Yes this classic is now a real boom box. This thing sounds great. Installed the on/off/volume switch with the knob on the right. The others are fixed. All of the electronics are hard wired and secured to the inner supports insure a long life. This is one of a kind Bluetooth radio that is art deco cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. There is a new electrical plug also. The 1937 Majestic radio converted to Bluetooth speaker measures 11" x 8" x 6.5" . Will look good, sound great and fit anywhere. Let know if you have any questions. Please look at my other offerings. FREE SHIPPING to the lower 48 states. Thanks. ED
